The Minneapolis lamp series was created in connection with Friis & Moltke’s design of the Scanticon Hotel and Conference Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA in 1984 (today Crowne Plaza).

The lamps were also used at the Borupgård Conference Centre and at H.C. Andersen Hotel in Odense, both in Denmark.
With its unique lines, almost Japanese in style, the series works well in many interior design and décor styles, extending beyond the hotel industry.
